Their Christmas presents

Female sibling: Hmm. Probably a Nintendo DS game. What’s a good game for someone who loves Pokémon but already has all the Pokémon games? Animal Crossing?

Female progenitor and husband: They’ve been having so many problems with their Windows piece of crap lately that I’ve been considering getting them a Mac mini, but it’s still just a little bit out of my price range. Maybe a GPS system?

Male progenitor and wife: Not sure. They really liked last year’s gift (one of those steak gift packs that had various meaty delicacies shipped in dry ice), but giving them that again would be smacking of unoriginality due to desperation, and they could barely fit it all in their freezer last year anyway. Maybe a TV that doesn’t suck? Theirs really does suck.

I got my dad the recent book from Alan Greenspan, since it was on his list. He likes books on history, economics… You know, boring stuff. As a bonus, there was also a book by someone else with a critique on Greenspan just a shelf above it, and getting the two books together = discount. That should be an interesting gift for him.

My mom and aunt like Bath & Body Works, so we (my dad and I) are getting them stuff from there.

The only person left is my sister, but I haven’t seen her list yet. She probably requested a CD or something.

I went ahead with a GPS system for female progenitor and husband. Male progenitor and wife are getting the first three seasons of My Name is Earl on DVD, which both he and I enjoy, but she doesn’t for some reason.

It’s time for my personally traditional New Year’s benediction: May the Great Hoo Hoo crap in your garden so that all you love and cherish will flourish and grow in the coming year.
